Set Your Inner Self Free

Gandhi, Mohandas Karamchand, was born on October 2, 1869. He was born in Porbandor. That is the seaport capital of Kathiawar, now in the state of Gujarat. He was shot by a Hindu fanatic on January 30, 1948. On January 30, 1948, Gandhi died by 3 shots point blank from Nathuram Godse. Godse was a Brahman extremist. Gandhi fell dead from the shots. But with the few remaining moments, Mahatma Gandhi pronamed the killer. Godse thought, because of Gandhi's befriending Muslims, that Gandhi weakened India.

Gandhi was a leader of India's struggle for independence from Britain . He became the international symbol of a free India. He led a lot of protestings to try to free India from the British taxes and rule. Ghandhi went into British custody multiple times because of the protests. He was usually in ill-health while in jail so the British were forced to released him.

Gandhi was the youngest in a large family. His father held an official post, and his mother had traditional ideals, and her spiritual qualities were an inspiration to Gandhi. Gandhi married a young lady named Kasturba when he was 13. He felt like they were brother and sister. He was given 4 sons from Kasturba.

At age 19, Gandhi had his education in law at the University College, London. He was lonely, shy, and socially awkward. He learned dancing and violin. Gandhi had no success with studying law. The first time he was in court, he could not speak.
